i hate that double-time drumbeat that pop-punk bands do in the middle of choruses to give them momentum so ... I tried one myself. If you don't like excessive harmonies turn off before the end. Thanks, tanks.

darling sophie
no adventure is worth your presence
take that literally
she puts curlers on her brain
curlers on the sea-shells
curlers on the police brutality posters on the toilet walls
darling sophie
keep your hands inside the carriage, darling sophie
don't get friendly with everybody, darling sophie
just be patient
she puts curlers on her brain
curlers on the sea-shells
curlers on the police brutality posters on the toilet walls
when they crack, they crack, they really blow
shield your eyes from the blast or your going home
we could raid the mini-bar and blame it on the ethanol
yes, yes, yes, it's the best, it's the best one yet
just in case you thought it went away
look at her face, she's a shell, she's a parody
she could disappear into the mountains and we wouldn't care
no, no, no, it's a no, it's a terrible thought
From L.A. comes the latest from post-rock outfit bondo, with tendrils of spindly guitar snaking through arid percussion. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 4, 2023

A group that I know only too well, I’ve been with them for nearly 30 years; from their Glaswegian basement origins to their current status as Arena band. My enthusiasm for their later output may have tempered somewhat as the mighty ‘Gwai evolved their sound to avoid pigeonholing, but there is nothing better than when they lay waste to a venue via the sheer euphoria of ‘Helicon 1’. They’re still devastating live and, after all those years, THE authority in Instrumental Rock music. Logen Ninefingers
